Introduction

Welcome to the MC UTDallas Hackathon – Minecraft Mod Challenge!
This year’s hackathon invites students to unleash their creativity by designing and building their own Minecraft mod. Whether you want to improve gameplay, introduce educational mechanics, or create UTD-themed adventures, this is your chance to show off both your coding and design skills. Participants will work individually or in teams to develop innovative mods that are functional, engaging, and well-documented.

The challenge encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and exploration of modern modding frameworks. The event provides an opportunity to learn hands-on Java programming, version control, 3D modeling, and creative design in the sandbox world of Minecraft.
